Michael Sadove, MD
Pediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
A graduate of Washington University in St Louis and received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. Upon completion of his General Surgery Training at Rush Presbyterian St Lukes Hospital in Chicago, he began a two-year study of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Virginia. He received Fellowship status at New York University. Dr. Sadove joined the Plastic Surgery Section at the Indiana University School of Medicine as well as the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He has board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and remains an active participant in their Maintainence of Certification program.
He served as the first Chairman of Surgery at IU North Medical Center, and the James Harbaugh Endowed Professor at Indiana University where he was on faculty for 25 years. Dr. Sadove served as President of the medical staff at the IU North Medical Center. He is the author of over 100 articles and numerous book chapters. Dr. Sadove is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Past President of the Indiana Chapter. He is a Past-President of the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons and a past Chair of the Trustees of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Sadove was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and The American Association of Plastic Surgeons. He continues as a Senior Examiner and was selected by his fellow Board members as Chair of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Sadove is a Recipient of the Sertoma Clubs “Service to Mankind” Award, Clarian Hospitals Award for excellence in clinical care, as well as being named repeatedly by his peers to Best Doctors in America.
