David C. Lobb, MD

Board-Certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery

Dr. David C. Lobb

Dr. David Lobb is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon with specialized training in craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery. Dr. Lobb is also board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. As a pediatric plastic surgeon, he treats patients who have complex facial deformities including craniosynostosis (when the skull bones join together prematurely), cleft lip/palate, facial nerve paralysis, and microtia (congenital ear differences), as well as hand anomalies, vascular malformations, and congenital breast conditions.

Dr. Lobb is a member of a multidisciplinary cleft and craniofacial team at Lee Health, providing treatment to patients with cleft lip/palate, craniosynostosis, and many other congenital anomalies. Treatments offered include distraction osteogenesis, open and endoscopic repair of craniosynostosis (with 3D planning), orthognathic surgery (of the jaw area), ear reconstruction, and customized ear molding for correction of infant ear deformities in patients as young as one day old.

In addition, Dr. Lobb provides the full range of adult plastic and reconstructive services, including facial trauma and fracture treatment, breast reconstruction, and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body.

Born in South Africa, Dr. Lobb earned his medical degree from Leicester and Warwick Medical School in the United Kingdom. He then completed his primary training in plastic surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he received numerous awards for excellence in education, including the 2019 University of Virginia All-University Teaching Award.

Following his primary training, Dr. Lobb completed a craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center – which is regularly ranked within the top 3 children’s hospitals in the country. Dr. Lobb has authored many publications and has been invited to present his research at national meetings.

Dr. Lobb is privileged with Lee Health and NCH Healthcare System, serving patients in Lee and Collier counties in Southwest Florida. He has offices in Fort Myers and Bonita Springs.
