Getting A Second Opinion for Plastic Surgery Through Telemedicine

Getting A Second Opinion for Plastic Surgery Through Telemedicine

by Gianina (SU)

Your next visit to the doctor could occur in your workplace, while you’re on vacation in Bora Bora, or in the comfort of your own home. Thanks to modern telecommunications technology, doctors are able to make themselves more accessible and more accommodating to their patients than ever before. Telemedicine is quickly becoming the hot new trend in the medical field.

Telemedicine is a great option if you are traveling, have a busy schedule, or are not easily able to travel to the doctor’s office for a consultation. It provides convenient, easy access to your doctor while offering complete privacy.

A 2nd Opinion Has Never Been Easier

Many people avoid getting a second opinion because it can be a costly, time-consuming hassle. With telemedicine, you can quickly and easily find another medical professional and get their input on your situation.

Within the realm of plastic surgery, you may have already seen a surgeon about the possibility of aesthetic or reconstructive surgery. With a second opinion, you’re more likely to make an educated decision, more properly taking into account factors such as cost, recovery time, availability, success rate, etc.

What’s not to love about telemedicine? You can meet with a medical specialist at a time and location that is convenient for you.

Set Up A Telemedicine Appointment With Us

If you need a second opinion or are an existing patient with a question, the Atlantic Center of Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery offers a simple and easy-to-use telemedicine service to make getting that second opinion a breeze.

The first step is to call or request the appointment.

You will be given a login from which you can access a patient dashboard on any internet-enabled device (computer, smartphone, or tablet). Once you’re in the right location, you’ll want to fill out a patient questionnaire and provide any other requested information. It is important to make sure your webcam or other video imaging abilities are working properly.

Log in approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to enter the virtual waiting room. Once your physician arrives, you will begin your (virtual) face-to-face meeting with the doctor.

The Atlantic Center of Aesthetic & Reconstructive Surgery offers services through the reliable telemedicine software, Healow.

With locations in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Boynton Beach, and Naples, you can reclaim youth and confidence through our procedures. Our surgeons are at the top of their field both technically and aesthetically, and we will make sure that you get the results you want. For a consultation to discuss your new look, call the Atlantic Center today at (954) 983-1899 or request an appointment online. We also serve patients in St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.
